Qualifications & experience
In 2008 I gained a distinction for my Masters in Creative & Professional Writing at Roehampton University, specialising in writing for young adults. My undergraduate degree was in Humanities, for which I achieved a 2.1 and gained a passion for philosophy.
I completed an NVQ level 2 in Youth work while working as a youth participation worker and advocate. I thoroughly enjoy working with young people and hope to combine this with my love of writing to offer future writing workshops for young people.
I am an experienced freelance writer, editor, proofreader and book reviewer.
My employment history is based in professional events coordination, libraries, youth work and council roles, which has given me insight into the writing needs of large and small organisations. Within employment I have created event programmes, written and proofed official reports, leaflets, posters and web content. I have also worked with a group of looked after children to produce a regular magazine. I have worked in both school and public libraries.
